Module 4 Learning Objectives

  1. Describe your and others' pastimes by employing targeted expressions, words, and structures 

  2. Describe places where you and others go in the city 

  3. Identify what you and others are going to do in the future 

  4. Identify and explore the diversity and culture in Spanish-speaking world: Spain 

  5. Explore locations in Spanish-speaking countries using Google Maps, and describe each location and the activities are carried out there

  6. Describe and compare how cultures and traditions are maintained and shared using information presented in infographics, articles, and videos

  7. Create a 3-day vacation plan in Spanish using the structures and vocabulary from lessons 1, 2, 3, and 4 

  8. Evaluate the experiences of diverse Spanish-speaking groups, including immigrants and indigenous groups, who have faced discrimination both in historical and contemporary contexts

1) Informative "textbook" chapter 4 (grammar explanations and vocabulary lists)

2) Communication-forward chapter 4 activities for face-to-face & synchronous modes

3) Chapter 4 PowerPoint

4) ~50 rote exercises for chapter 4 grammar and vocabulary 

5) Chapter 4 final quiz

6) Chapter 4 Modified Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA). This assessment principally leverages the interpretive mode, although the presentational mode is also included. Tasks are based on authentic materials. Linguistic and cultural competences are assessed.
